Becoming a Kellum Creek Business Solutions Social Media Client

If your business is struggling to grow your online presence via social media, you aren’t alone. You may be considering hiring a social media specialist to grow your business. Another solution is to partner with a local agency to meet your social media needs. Are you curious about partnering with a social media professional at an outside firm? Let’s walk through the experience of being a Kellum Creek Business Solutions social media client.

Our team provides social media services for local small businesses in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and other areas in the region. From content creation to posting, we can help your brand hit goals and achieve success!

Meet Hannah Glover

We interviewed our Social Media Strategist Hannah Glover to learn more about what it’s like to partner with Kellum Creek Business Solutions for social media services.

Hannah, tell us about your background and why you love partnering with clients for social media success.

I graduated from Johnson University in Knoxville with a B.A. in Strategic Communications. While working toward my degree, I spent a lot of time learning about marketing and different communication avenues like video editing, photography, and public relations. I love what I do because I get to use that knowledge and apply it in different contexts.

Each social media strategy I create is unique and catered to the client. I love using the formulas and techniques I have learned and seeing how they help grow our clients’ businesses.

My favorite part about my job is going to clients’ businesses for content creation. In addition to those visits, I have experienced almost half the businesses and attractions in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. That is the coolest part about the job, in my opinion.

What is your favorite part about working at Kellum Creek Business Solutions?

My favorite part about Kellum Creek Business Solutions is that there is so much room to grow and learn. Our team works together on every project. I can ask for help if I need it or ask for opinions. Our team works well together, and we push each other to succeed. I love that about our team!

If a potential client is interested in your services as a social media professional, how do you get started?

The first step is to do a social media assessment. I visit the client’s website and all social media accounts to evaluate what is working and what is not. When I do assessments, I typically look for consistent branding across all platforms.

I critique the accounts by checking to see if:

  • the usernames are the same.
  • the bios are the same.
  • all social media accounts link to the website and vice versa.
  • the account’s followers are engaging or silent when content is posted.

After the assessment, we meet with the client to talk about goals. This meeting is to figure out who your target audience is (example: tourists, moms, Gen Z, etc.) and how the content creation process will go.

Then, I create a content calendar by brainstorming and researching competition in the industry. The calendar is based on how many posts the client wants per week and on which platforms.

How do you get footage to create content for a client?

I will visit a client’s business regularly, usually once a month. Some businesses require more frequent visits than others.

When I visit a client, I ask the owner what to highlight specifically, whether it be a sale or an upcoming event. If it’s an attraction, I will play through the attraction as if I am a tourist and film the entire process. If it’s a small business, I film the store or product so that I have a good amount of footage to work with.

What data do you use to measure success for your social media accounts?

When I create end-of-the-month analytics reports, I use several metrics to see what made this month successful or not.

  • Reach is the number of accounts our content reached throughout the month. The higher the reach number is, the better.
  • Content interaction is how many accounts liked, commented, shared, or saved our content.
  • Page visits are how many accounts visited our profile after they saw a piece of our content.
  • New followers and total followers ensure that our pages are growing.

Those are the four main metrics I track across all platforms, but Instagram and TikTok have more analytics that I like to look at including non-follower reach (how many accounts we reach that month that do not follow us) and unique page visits (how many accounts looked at our page are not following us).

At the end of every month, I go through each account and note the analytics in a Google Spreadsheet. This helps me see what worked and what did not. If the client wants a copy of the analytics report, I will share it. However, the analytics report is mainly for me to see how I can improve my content creation techniques.

What are your favorite social media accounts that you manage?

Your Guide to the Smokies

My most successful account is Your Guide to the Smokies. We have seen success with this account through TikTok, specifically with our 1-day itinerary videos and must-visit spots recommendations. In one year, this account went from 20 followers to 24.6k followers, which is amazing!

Moonshine Mountain Coaster’s growth has seen a steady incline with an increase in followers on Instagram and TikTok. We had a TikTok video go viral! That helped with growth.
