Coffee Talk
Coffee Talk is a free monthly networking event held at the Sevierville Civic Center. It is hosted at 8:00am on the third Tuesday of each month by a featured local business. This meeting is a great opportunity to learn about that featured business, but also to strengthen your relationships with other chamber members.
During the event, members will enjoy a complimentary breakfast provided by the featured business. While sharing a meal, attendees take advantage of the time by networking and promoting their individual businesses. At 8:30am, a presentation begins. The featured business gives their presentation, and then SCOC officials provide chamber updates.
The end of the meeting is a time for new members and visitors to make announcements, if time allows. Coffee Talk is an extremely beneficial meeting for Sevierville and Sevier County businesses. Chamber members always have the third Tuesday of each month marked on their calendars.
Ribbon Cuttings
As new businesses open, the chamber can promote the company by assisting in a ribbon cutting event. During a ribbon cutting, SCOC members visit the new business. This gives members the chance to learn about the new business in a hands-on way. Representatives from the new business can show off their hard work and give a brief presentation.
A ribbon cutting event is an excellent way to network with the new business and other chamber members. It is also a celebration for the new business and also for the community.
Business After-Hours
Coffee Talk is held in the morning and Ribbon Cuttings can be held at anytime, however Business After-Hours is held in the evening and it provides another layer of networking opportunities for chamber members. This time frame allows for a more casual experience.

There are plenty of other networking events throughout the year. Members can take advantage of educational luncheons. The SCOC also holds an annual Membership Breakfast with a keynote speaker. The annual Membership Banquet is an evening event complete with a speaker, awards, and a delicious dinner.
